Eira paused to run over the scores in her head to make sure that they were all fair, even if she wanted to change them for her own preferences in Pokemon. She then looked up at the stage, making a note to have it fixed better after everyone leaves since the quick job was poorly done. "I was quite surprised with many of your performances and very happy to say that it was a close competition. For last place, I have awarded a grand total of nine points to Z and his team for a beautiful performance in both rounds even if things got a little out of hand."Z's score:
Maya rocked back and forth on her heels, unable to stand still. She didn't get last which was nice, no offense to the boy with the Blaziken, and she would totally be cool with third or maybe even second. She highly doubted first.
She had seen the redheaded queen glance at her and Maya made a point not to make eye contact back, obstinately keeping her eyes on Eira as she made the announcements. As she did she suddenly recalled why she was here. Thats right! Maybe Eira would know something her Aunt! She was the queen after all. She made a note to try and speak to the woman after this was all said and done.
Marcus clapped with the rest of the audience for z, despite feeling bad for him. He didn't stand a chance with physical Pokemon with half of their moves being contact moves, especially in such a fragile place, even more so with one of them being fire type. Marcus looked down at Lex, who was talking with Sealeo, only certain moves are safe to go all out in this stadium, and neither of his Pokemon had them. It's amazing he got the scores he did with his only experience being the one we were just in together a few weeks ago.
Marcus shifted his gaze over to Akane. Still, with enough experience, someone with a handicap can make anything look easy. But z's resilient, I'm sure he'll bounce back from this and be right back on...whatever it is he's doing after this.
Z sighed upon hearing his score, but he figured he wouldn't have won due to what had happened in the first round. He smiled at his two newly evolved partners, proud that they were able to grow from this contest and were now much stronger pokemon. Z turned and toward Eira and waited for her to announce the scores of the other contestants. He wondered who would win, though he was betting that it would be Akane due to her skill and victory.
Eira applauded a bit with the audience as she looked around at the other contestants. She took in a small breath before she continued, resolving herself for the next announcement since she figured it would not be a good one. "In third place, with 21 points and a gorgeous performance with electricity and fire, I present Lady Akane of Celosia."
Sealeo bumped Lex with his nose as a sign that he was bored and wanted to play.Akane's score:
The audience awww'd when they heard Eira call Akane's name in 3rd place, but started clapping with the Snow Queen nonetheless. Half of the audience was expecting a no contest win by Akane. Not only did she do a spectacular job on her first performance, but she beat the contestant with the highest score in battle incredibly easily.
A sigh escaped from Marcus' nose as he clapped for the Fire Queen. Of course they're disappointed. She had the most calculated, organized and professional routine today. Not to mention one of the most beautiful. But it seems like everyone today forgot about Eira's rules for her contest. She doesn't like tough moves, and Crunch is one of the toughest moves out there. Granted, in z's case, I understand why he used the moves he did. It was a close match. Akane, on the other hand, was in no danger of losing to Maya. She was greatly under leveled compared to her, and she doesn't have nearly as much experience with battling as Akane does. Akane just let her ruthlessness blind her, unfortunately. She saw an opportunity to take Maya out before she had a chance to perform, and it cost her.
Marcus looked over to Eira, However; using Crunch should not have been enough to push Akane down to third place. Unless it really was as close as she says it is....
Lex ignored his friend for a bit because he was having too much fun clapping, bringing his hands together over his head over and over while smiling widely.
Eira paused to give a small bow to Akane as a sign of respect to her fellow queen before she turned to the last two competitors that were still waiting on their scores. "The two of you made judging quite difficult for me between both of the rounds. From early on, you managed to pull away from the rest of the competition and ended up with a one point difference by the time both battles were finished. It is my pleasure to announce that both of you gave spectacular performances and will be rewarded as such. As for placing, second place goes to Maya with a total of 24 points while first place and the badge goes to Zandrophin with his total of 25 points."
Eira paused as she waited for someone to come on stage with the chest that was to hold Zandrophin's prize. Inside the crystal box was a badge that resembled a Lapras along with a shimmering water stone. "Your prizes, Zandrophin, are the badge symbolizing your victory in these halls along with a water stone, a cherished item in these parts that house so many Water type Pokemon. Thank you all for participating today and I hope to see you tonight at the festival in the village square."Zan's score:
Z headed out of the contest hall with his pokemon. He intended to attend the festival and wanted to get some rest. He had a long journey through the snow after the festival and wanted to be ready. He couldn't wait to see his relatives again and wondered why they asked him to stop by. They had said it was important so he hoped that they were ok. Z pulled out his Poke-gear and messaged them that he would meet up with them in a few days.
Marcus turned to Eira and put his hands on his hips. "Well...that's over. Surprising end. They all did pretty good." Marcus' head dropped down, "....I'm sorry. I shouldn't have insulted you like that."
Sofa was suddenly bored with all of sitting around now that the fighting was over, and he was really itching for a battle. Lex, however, was more interested in getting some sleep. He'd had a long day for such a young Pokemon and didn't feel like running around anymore. He climbed up onto his blubbery friend and tried to sleep.

The scores were listed, one by one. Zandrophin had a different reaction for each.
Z ended up with 9....how upsetting.
He's made more points in our book, Sir...and that's really all that matters.
Akane received 21. Not a bad score...I was worried I would be in her spot.
Sir, only you and Miss Maya are left.
A one-point difference...Damn...we were so clos--
He heard Eira say that Maya got second place.....
Sir...we...we won?
I'm not sure how...but I'd be a fool not to accept it.
Zandrophin took the badge and the water stone gratefully. Absentmindedly...he began to run the stone between his fingertips. The cool crystal was refreshing to him. Then Eira announced a festival.
Perhaps we'll stay at this one, Sir?
We may...you never know who we may run into.
Do not fight for a cause or for what you believe in: Fight for yourself, because who you are rarely changes. Zandrophin
The red lady accepted her loss. She never cared if she won or not, her main point of this visit was to harass Eira and give her people an example of a real queen who physically conquered people and grabbed their obedience straight from their fear. But Eira was more comfortable here in her own environment. Akane could call Eira a fellow queen. Eira bowed to her, showing her respect, and Akane bowed right back.
She was however, quite pleased Zandrophin won. She enjoyed Maya’s performance, but was quite happy her strategy to take her out quickly worked. Eira seemed somewhat disappointed behind her façade that Zandrophin won. But that could have just been her having an agenda. She mentioned a festival. Good thing I packed more gowns and crowns. Akane joked with herself.
"Sanity is only an idea made real, to make those who are boring feel better." -Akane
Maya clapped, thrilled for Zandrophin. She was rather proud of herself for snagging second too even with that horrible loss. Everyone did pretty good after all but she figured that after what he went through and his awesome sculpture he deserved it. Bo seemed a little upset but quickly forgot about it at the news of a festival. She jumped up and down excitedly, sparks crackling through her wool.
"You like the sound of that huh?" She smiled, as they hoped off the stage. "Well we need to ask Eira about my mystery Aunt anyway. Maybe it will be fun..."
"It's fine Marcus, you haven't gotten to see Silvertree all too much so you wouldn't know how things are here," Eira said with a small smile to let him know that he was forgiven. "It's easy to make judgments about things when you don't know all that much about them."
Sealeo shifted so he could sit in a comfortable position while the baby Pokemon slept on him. He was grateful that he could now just slide along the ice instead of rolling so he wouldn't disturb the sleeping baby if they had to go somewhere.
Ugh...this is too hard. "Uhh...okay." Because she's wrong! She's wrong wrong wrong and if she wasn't so thick-headed, she'd realize that! Marcus could feel his lips try to latch shut. "You...umm....It's your village." That you're treating like they don't know how to put on clothes without your help! "So what, uh, what is this festival gonna have? It's a pretty small place and you talked like you didn't have much stuff here." Because you were trying to prove to yourself that it's not safe for anyone to survive without your help! AAAAAAHHHHH!!!! This is so tiring....
Marcus was trying his best, but he was very quickly losing his self control and despite being slightly cold, he had sweat running down his forehead.
"We are trying to show off what we do have available, like the pelts that our hunters bring in or the carvings from the trees that we must clear out of the area," Eira told him with a cheerful smile, happy that she had something she could show the others about what her small kingdom could do. "There will be dancing and I believe some of the villagers have been trying to put together a band to perform for everyone. It isn't anything like the ball Akane threw for us, but it is what we could do to celebrate."
