Kaname stopped Mariko mid-sentence; he gave the smoochum a wink to let her know it was okay. A single feather atop his head and only on one ear must’ve very strange to her. But when Mariko asked about Tsubame, Kaname lied and shrugged his shoulders, a human gesture he learned from Tsubame. He didn’t want a possible mate for his trainer to notice he was with another possible mate. Not that he really cared, but it was nice when Tsubame was happy. However, he was with a woman, he couldn’t be happy around anymore; although, Kaname wasn’t sure if even Tsubame realized that.
Tsubame couldn’t help but be flabbergasted at the site of her. It’s been so long. How do I even talk to her…? Is it still weird? I’m not sure how I should react to what she’s telling me… wait… what is she telling me?? Okay… shhh… calm down. Focus. Something about team rocket now. Admin. Kimono. Journey throughout Asemon. Rebellions. Mariko’s kimono. Crap. No. oh no. I’m sorry. That’s terrible. Kaname you traitor. Yeah. Mhm. Yes. Yes.
”Of course. I would aid you in a rebellion. After all, we have both been oppressed by the big cats up top. If you lead a rebellion. I will follow.”
After seemingly receiving his commitment, the blonde woman was pleased and practically disappeared from the festival after the confirmation. Why would she come to me though…? There’s nothing I can do besides add to the numbers. But it was only me up here. There are plenty of oppressed workers here. What is she up to? His thoughts felt like poison.
Only when Kaname showed back up did he regain reality.
”Hey bud. What’s up?” Kaname looked like he was on a mission. And it was soon discovered what that mission was with a swift movement of the sneasel’s arm.
”Kaname, no. I can’t- I mean… she’s a proper business woman. What would she want with a lame guy like me…”
Before he could sink any further into his depression, Kaname led him by the hand to a festival booth that had just opened. It was deep in the festival, and a game Kaname knew Tsubame would know well, in a place he might just run into some people or person he might know.
After just a few minutes of playing he had already brightened back up; the smile returned to his face and a determined expression crinkled his brows. He was already so close to winning a huge prize, he could almost taste it.
