"Uh-yeah...a little. You know, it's pretty intimidating out there, but if you focus on your Pokemon, the audience seems so much smaller." Marcus was doing his best to be as sociable as possible, but he kept glancing over to the girl in yellow and finally got the courage to walk over to her. "I've got someone to talk to over there, but it's been nice talking to you all." Marcus smiled kindly to his mob and made his way across the ballroom.
"Seems like you've got quite the following." The girl's voice was smooth, confident and inviting, no trace of bite like Lady Akane had, nor the soft insecurity that was ever prevalent in Eira's words. Up close, he could tell all the things he'd not been able to see in the garden. She had a neutral skin color, light but not bright white; she's clearly seen the sun in her life. Her hair was naturally wavy, her bright blonde locks falling just on the inside of her right shoulder, it all being pulled to one side. Her face mostly round, but with soft angles at the cheek bones and chin. She was beautiful in a very natural way, and Marcus was without words looking at her.
Looking down and then out into the ballroom again, Marcus responded to her assessment, "Yeah, it's a little weird, but people are pretty impressed by my and Sofa's performances. They're even more impressed that we won." There was a slight chuckle from behind his back, the girl finding his semi-joke amusing. He turned around,
"I'm Marcus."
"I know."
"Duh...ummm....I'm not too good with this..."
"Cassandra. Do you dance, Marcus?"
"Not often." Looking down, Marcus continued, "I don't think I've danced for about 8 years."
"Oh...well that's a shame."
Looking back up, Marcus locked eyes with Cassandra, "But that's just because I've never had someone to dance with."
Marcus held out his hand and waited...That was so cheesy. Sooo freaking cheesy...
Cassandra met his hand with hers, a very fluid motion, as if she's done it the exact same way hundreds of times before, she smiled at him, "That was so cheesy."
