Akane had specifically finished enough work in the castle to go out that day. She had anticipated it for months. Today is finally the day… she giggled. She ordered the guard to open the gate from the impressive fortress she called home. The wind was strong when it pushed through the opening; it lifted her magnificent, flaming curls around her, making her feel even lighter than she already did. Her magnificent dress swirled about at her feet.
The red haired woman’s feet easily floated over the sand she walked upon. Taking the long route, she flitted her way up the stone steps that led her away from the beach and down the cobblestone road.
“No rapidash today, M’lady?” People would say as the queen girlishly giggled past them. She wasn’t worried about crime or endangerment towards her. No. Her powerful charizard rested within the tallest tower of her castle, ready to protect her when she needed it. Not that people were unhappy. Akane had never been unfair or let anyone treat her as if she was above any of the civilians. She wouldn’t even eat more than they did.
At the end of the road, she stopped to breathe in the newest site and attraction in all of Celosia; Houndoom Hall, the first contest hall in the region. Here she would take in four challengers, all vying for one of her prized Houndoom Badges, whom she would happily grant to the winner. Today, she wanted beautiful moves, beautiful pokemon, and beautiful guests to watch the debut match of the great Hall.
Today’s match, would be a single round, single entry tournament; where one person and their pokemon will dazzle her with their pokemon’s impressive moveset and choreography incorporating those moves.
When Akane had settled herself and her flowing gown in the throne-like chair that adorned the front and center-most point of the guest seating, in a raised voiced announced she was ready to start.
"May the Contest Begin!"
