Nicole jolted at the voice suddenly coming from inside the room. "Oh, forget staying here until the storms over!" She yelped turning to leave the room, with Nero turning to follow after her. "Of course I'm human, but I don't know what you are!" She shouted grabbing for the doorknob of the door... that she was sure she had left open. "What the... It won't open!" That said, she started banging on the door. It was probably after the sixth time she banged on the door that the door swung open on her and she fell to the floor outside the room with a loud yelp.
Moving into a sitting position, she groaned causing Nero to nose at the hand she still had rested on the ground. This in turn made her wince and let out a small hiss of pain. moving the hand off the ground she tried to roll it only to stop and hiss again, cringing. "Great... I think I jolted my wrist." She muttered. Nero whined slightly, his ears going down upon the realization that she was hurt. Nicole smiled slightly at him. "I'll be fine. Actually... I want you to do something for me Nero... I remember seeing shadows heading towards the building. Go and check around to see if they left a door open to the outside. If they did, there is a chance that we can get out of here. I'm willing to take my chances in the storm. This place is giving me the creeps." She told the Vulpix who looked concerned at the request. "Don't worry. I'll be right behind you." She promised with a smile. Nero gave her a look that spoke of his distrust to the words before he ran off to find out what his trainer meant about other people.
After he had left, Nicole's smile faded and looked down at her right knee, which had been shooting pain through her nerves. She must have cut it on the rotten wood in front of the door when she fell. "Great... My wrist is out of commission, and I need to get my knee bandaged." She sighed. "Hopefully, Nero will come back soon. It shouldn't be to hard for him to find the doors... hopefully...."
