Shimmer vs Fraxure. practice battle

"We are ready!" Eira called, actually getting a bit excited for the battle and her Staryu's potential. She looked down at Shimmer and nodded, showing that she had all of the confidence in the world in what it could do in this battle. "Let's give them a good show today, alright Shimmer? I know this is out first battle together, but I think you and I can work really well together and beat Z and his Fraxure."

"Rapid Spin!" Eira called to Shimmer, seeing the rapidly approaching dragon and hoping that Staryu were faster. As it turned out, Shimmer was quite fast as it bounced into the air from spinning so quickly. Eira thought back to her fight against Shimmer in attempt to remember what moves it had since she had never used Shimmer before. "Try your Bubblebeam!"

Shimmer began to spray bubbles all over the field as it continued to spin while using it's move.

Eira was surprised by just how fast Shimmer seemed to be as it flew threw the rocks, landing safely near Fraxure on one of its points. How in the world was a Pokemon naturally this fast? It was then that Eira realized that Shimmer had gone easy on her when she was trying to capture it. "Shimmer, try another Bubblebeam!"

Shimmer straightened onto two of its points before shooting a high speed jet of bubbles towards Fraxure out of its top point.

Shimmer took the hit, feeling the energy jolting through its body upon impact.

"Thunderbolt!" Eira called to Shimmer, seeing the close quarters the two Pokemon were at and thinking that it would create a sure fire hit on the little dragon. An electrical current formed around Shimmer, growing in strength before transferring over to Fraxure by using his Dragon Claw as a medium.

Shimmer seemed to take the taunt to heart and didn't wait for Eira's next command before making a move. A blueish purple aura surrounded Fraxure as Shimmer began to use its Psychic abilities on him, lifting him high into the air without an issue. Eira fell back in surprise at Shimmer's attack, having not known that her Pokemon could use Psychic. Fraxure was lifted higher and higher until it was at a dangerous height, making it unwise for Fraxure to break free if it didn't want to receive serious injury.

Shimmer used Rapid Spin to dodge around the rocks and land safely at the edge of the field, deciding to battle on its own since its trainer seemed to be out of commission for now. It waited patiently for the rocks to finish falling so it could find where Fraxure was going to land, waiting for a good opportunity to strike again. Eira on the other hand was shaking like a leaf as she stared wide eyed at her second Pokemon, wondering how she had never noticed that it had Psychic.

Shimmer spun out of the way of Fraxure's attack, aiming a Bubblebeam at the dragon's back. Shimmer was sure at this point that its trainer was no longer a part of this battle, so it did not wait for her command and took over once more. It was not liking this little Fraxure, especially since the cocky little thing made it use Psychic when it knew very well that Eira did not like Psychic types. Fracure made it harm its human and no one made Shimmer harm its things.
