A quaint little mining town built on the sides of an impact crater with the meteorite in the center serving as the gym. the building are made from steel and there are mine shafts where people mine stones to be sold to trainers.
The town was formed when some travelers decided to build a mining town in the impact crater of a meteorite, using the meteor as a central structure. The soil was rich with minerals and the town became quite successful over the years, selling ore and stones to other parts of Asemon. Eventually the meteorite was turned into the Starfort Gym.
Eira wiped away sweat from her face as she entered town. She was not used to this much heat, being so far south in comparison to her freezing home. Eira looked around the small town, trying to find a place to sit after her long journey to reach it while also trying to find her young friend who now lived there. She wondered if she should bring out her new Walrein to help find him, but knew she shouldn't because he would be miserable in this heat with all of his fat. Eira sighed as she continued to wander around, wondering if she would find Z quickly.
The town was bustling with people. People were walking across ramps and walkways that allowed them to navigate the crater. A young woman walked up to Eira wearing a light outfit designed to be comfortable in the heat. "Excuse me," are you looking for someone miss?" she asked politely, "You seem to be new here."
While they talked some Machoke walked past carrying carts of Ore from the mines and some Excadrill followed behind them having finished a productive day of digging.
"Ah, yes I am actually. I'm looking for a young boy named Z, would you happen to know him?" Eira said softly, trying to smile at the woman that had approached her though she was far too tired to even want to be dealing with people that she didn't know. How could people travel around like this all of the time? It made no sense to her that people actually enjoyed this feeling of not knowing where they were going or if they would make it to the place they wanted.
"Oh, you mean the new Gym Leader?" said the lady, "He's probably in the central building. It's that large meteorite in the center of town. You can't miss it. All of the roads lead to it. Is there anything else that you need miss?"
The lady noticed that Eira looked a little warm and took out a cold bottle of water from her pack, "here," she said, "drink this, it will do you some good. You look like you're a bit overheated so you should cool off. Luckily the gym is one of the coolest buildings in town."
"Thank you very much, m'am, you've been a lot more helpful than I expected," Eira said shyly, taking the bottle from the woman. It felt cool in her hand and it made Eira wonder just how more clothing she could loose and remain decent, especially since she wanted to give the water to her Pokemon. "That's all I need for right now, but thank you again for being so nice."
Eira headed for the center of town, hoping to cool off quickly and find Z.
Z was sitting by the door of his gym with his pokemon resting next to him. he had removed his old cloak and Fraxure was using it as a bed to take a nap. Sparky was using a broom to sweep up and Z's two new pokemon, Alloy and Scorpio were resting as well. Z sipped a cool glass of lemonade, the temperature in the summer being a bit hot for him, and relaxed. He was surprised to have been given his own gym, but he felt he could do a good job.
Eira slowly made her way through town, not wanting to move in the heat but knowing that she had to reach her destination if her Pokemon were to be of any use. When she finally made it to the center of town, she nearly collapsed near the entrance where Z was sitting. She smiled weakly at him as she slumped against the wall of the gym. "P-Please tell me you have a pool or something."
"Um, no," said Z, "but we have a powerful Air Conditioner inside the gym. Please come in quickly." Z hurried her into the gym where she was greeted by a blast of cold air that countered the heat. Scorpio walked up holding a cup of ice water in his claws and offered it to her. Meanwhile Fraxure and Sparky decided to run around the gym, as Fraxure had stolen sparky's broom and was playing keep away. Alloy just floated there and watched them.
Eira followed Z into the gym and gave a sigh of relief when she was met with a blast of cold air from the powerful air conditioner. Taking the glass of water from Scorpio, she couldn't help but to wonder when Z got the new Pokemon or if he had had the Poison type all along and hadn't shown anyone yet. "Can I get some more water for my Pokemon? Especially Shimmer and Walrein."
Scorpio and Alloy nodded and headed off. Soon they came back with more bottles of cold water, Scorpio holding one in each claw and one in his tail and Alloy using his flat body like a floating table.
"I'm glad you could come," said z, "I've been trying my best to run this gym since my relatives passed it on to me." Fraxure and Sparky walked back up and decided to say hi to Eira. "It seems these two are happy to see you again," said Z
Eira released her Walrein, Shimmer, Grace, and Meta so they could all get some water from the other Pokemon. Meta gave off a high pitched giggle before transforming into a male Blaziken, snatching up water to gulp down speedily. Grace was a bit more clumsy with trying to drink some water, unable to hold the bottle up with her fake egg in the way. Shimmer used its Psychic in order to lift several bottles up and dump them onto itself in order to cool off with Walrein moving to Eira's side immediately.
"I'm happy to see you too," Eira said, smiling at the two in greeting. "Would it be alright if I challenged you for a badge? That is, after my Pokemon rest up from the journey here."
"I would be happy to take your challenge," said Z, "I could use the experience in battle." Z's pokemon perked up and were very eager to have a gym battle. Fraxure and Sparky introduced Alloy and Scorpio to Eira's pokemon. Fraxure was pleased to see that Spheal had evolved and began to talk about how things were going.
"Frax, Frax Fraxure," said Fraxure, *How are you doing. I see you're not a ball anymore.*
Z chuckled and headed over to pull up a chair for him and Eira to rest on.
"I could too if I'm going to participate in any more contests," Eira admitted with a small laugh as she sat with Z not too far away from her Pokemon just in case one of them wanted her for something. She did have Meta now and the little Ditto could be quite attached to her while her baby Grace was still young and needed her for a lot of things.
*I haven't been a ball for a while, Fraxure,* Walrein said to his now smaller friend as Meta climbed onto his back, now back to its original form. *This is Meta. We met on the trip down here. Meta is in a way like Sparky is to your Z towards my Eira.*
Z nodded, "So we can have that battle." Fraxure looked at Walren, "Frax Fraxure Frax. Fra Fraxure?" *I can understand Sparky and Z. Heck, he's starting to feel the same way towards her. But Ditto are genderless, so how does that work?* Scorpio looked at hapiny and tilted his head, "Drapion!" *hi there. I'm Scorpio.* Scorpio was a nice pokemon, but his scary appearance tended to scare off the pokemon he tries to befriend.
