"Queen of Ice?" Eira repeated, unsure if she liked that title or not, though she was sure many in Celosia thought that was who she was. She thought about her daily life and wondered if he was actually interested in how she lived, especially since it wasn't so interesting living so far to the north. It was definitely something different from what she suspected it was like to live in a place like Enya. "Silvertree is the only settlement in Eirlys for now. We have plans for creating another town once Spring arrives next year and we can move freely again."

Chazz out of the corner of his eye, saw Akane giving him the, I'll murder you if you say something cruel look. It almost made him laugh she was in mid dance, but her facial expression was clear. "One settlement for such a large territory? Wow, I guess people really hate the cold," he said in a humorous tone. "Well inter-national trade has been improved. Of course you have enough wood and building supplies to expand. Just try not to freeze." Chazz took another sip from his drink then resumed talking. "I bet it is nice having most of your western border to the south blocked by mountains. That plus the cold, is chilling. Hahaha." He laughed.
"It's unsafe for us to head further into the forest and mountains without more people and supplies," Eira informed him with a small smile at his attempt at a joke. "We are safer expanding our town here until we can get enough supplies built up to keep us safe. With trade open with Celosia, things should go much faster and smoother. Hopefully the people of Celosia come visit now that our borders are open and help bring up our revenue so we can get the supplies we need much faster."

"Oh, I've always wanted to go ice fishing. Maybe one day a sky resort, and have some winter time property. People alway go banaza for that kind of stuff." Chazz was thinking the whole time why am I giving this woman advice. I kill people for a living. "Well You have mountains, trees, and lakes. I'm fairly sure you will find some hidden gems to make your people prosper." He didn't worry to much about telling her things the population growth in Celosia dwarfed all the other regions. Celosia owns the sea trade and owns almost all the port cities.
"Don't worry about Bo," Maya said to Nicole and Nero with a small smile, patting Bo's fluffy head reassuringly. Already the Flaaffy's tears began to recede to mere sniffles. "Why don't you try making a smaller snowman huh?" She said to the pink Pokemon.
"Flaaaf..." Bo replied with a sniff and plopped onto the snow and began scrapping together a smaller snowball, the size of a Pokeball. Soon she had forgotten and was grinning cheerily.
"I'm sorry about that," Maya apologized with a slight incline of her head. She brushed some snow off her arm and hoodie.
Nicole gave a sort of half-smile. "Don't worry about it." She assured the other before looking down at Nero who was watching Bo with a small amount of interest. "Do you want to join her? You know that will require me to put you down right?" Nero looked up at her with a look that spoke of his conflicting thoughts. This had Nicole snickering.
"Okay then." She said turning her attention back to Maya. "So... anything interesting happen after I ran away?" She asked in curiosity.
"I guess normal was never supposed to be a word for me." - Nicole
"I'm sure Eirlys would be quite different of an experience to what the people of Celosia are used to," Eira chuckled slightly as she looked out towards the forest that surrounded her beloved home and kept them sheltered from what the rest of the kingdom held. She then looked up to the sky to see the stars shining above them and the moon resting almost directly above to let her know that it was getting quite late. After a moment she turned her attention to Chazz with a slight frown. "If you'll excuse me, I must go make an announcement that the festival will be closing down soon so we don't attract any of the more dangerous wild Pokemon in the area. I hope to see you some other time, sir."

"As you wish." Chazz did a slight bow of respect. He watched Eira walk away. Well I won't be attacking this place anytime soon. Good, these people are still in the hunter-gather stage. Even defended by the wall of snow and cold. They wouldn't last. Yet, he could see them growing up into a decent country. As long as they keep there customs they will be fine. Yet, cold weather cultures tend to raid. It they ever did. They would face Chazz's wrath.
After giving a small curtsy to him, Eira walked slowly back towards her home so she could make her announcement, her mind on her conversation with Chazz instead of on what was in front of her. She was happy to see that someone from another country would be glad to visit Eirlys for a vacation once they had more area and more things to do. Now that she had Shimmer, the lake was no problem and they could start working on things like ice skating and fishing and the contest hall would hopefully bring more people to the area once she had more contests. It was the expanding that she didn't know what to do about, but that was a concern for another time, now she had to close the festival and make sure all of her guests had proper places to stay for the cold night ahead.

Zandrophin began wandering around again. That's when he saw a man with a rather ostentacious sword on his hip.
Ceremonial, no doubt...it's too ornate to be functional. I'll wager this is a man in Lady Akane's employ.
He could be an interesting gent, Sir...perhaps you could discuss your grievances with the guards harrassing your people.
Wouldn't be a bad idea...
Zandrophin walked towards the man, who'd just finished a discussion with Eira. He made sure to walk within the man's field of view and glanced over at him, long enough for the man to notice. Zandrophin walked over to one of the stands, which looked more like a bar, and ordered a cup of hot water. He held a small vial filled with a pale green liquid in his hand, and when the drink was delivered, he emptied the contents into it.
He'd hoped the man had caught his gaze...he needed someone of authority in Celosia to talk to...he couldn't take much more of these locals.

Chazz was near the bar. A familiar face approached him. He had never met the man, but he had heard the officers of Pyron describe the famous trader. Zandrophin, a brilliant business man who tripled trade in Pyron. Chazz moved toward him and spoke. "Zandrophin, ship trader of Pyron. Don't look surprised, you don't have a ship leave port with out my officers telling me. I am being rude. I am Chazz, Commander of Celosia's armed forces. You have made quite a name for yourself. I hope all goes well in your quest of profits? "
Zandrophin picked up his glass and began swirling it in his hand, watching the liquids mix together. The man approached and introduced himself. Captain of the guard, it would seem.
I had a feeling...and I was correct.
He replied to the man's question,
"Regretably not. Judging from what I heard of your conversation with Lady Eira, similar to you, I have problems with this area. You may have some issues with the way it is commanded...as you've no doubt discovered our host is not the most willful of leaders. No doubt Lady Akane has mentioned my thoughts on this."
He took a drink before continuing,
"More to the point...I have issues with this area solely from a resource perspective. This land is rich with natural resources...but none of these locals will let me touch the land, even if it would bring prosperity here. I fail to understand these nomadic people."

Straight to business. Now this was someone Chazz could relate to. He share Chazz's concerns about the northern border. "What Akane has mentioned is of military matters. I can neither confirm nor deny she has spoken to me. I am too, however concerned, the road to Silvertree is not complete yet. We haven't even broken ground in Eirlys territory. My concerns are military. Yes, I've seen the reports Akane handed me. Gold, diamond, coal, and other resources are here. Yet, a military official cannot broach the subject on trade and industrial infrastructure. It's a shame, to the west the alps that connect to the Ashen badlands. The same resources and more can be found there. Sadly, treacherous territory and distance is too far for it to be beneficial to the industry. However, much of the Northwestern plains are unexplored. If only we had basic airships, that could traverse over the mountains."

Zandrophin chuckled a bit at the mention of airships.
"What's the matter, Soldier," he said...staring off into his glass, "afraid of sending a few people into dangerous locations blind? You can't make an omelet without breaking some eggs. Venturing into inhospitable locations create great soldiers and tacticians. Fight in the worst conditions and succeed...and you will win anywhere. That's what we learned back home..."
He took another drink before continuing,
"In any event, your airships will take too much time for your military to construct. It would be faster just to send scouts..."
Another pause,
"Unless.....you planned on coming to me for help..."

Is he pitching me a sale? "Obviously you missed heard me. Scouting is not a problem I have soldiers in the mountains along with flying pokemon, but I can't just send troops into Eirlys territory." When he scoffed at airships, clearly he was a trader and didn't realized airships would forever change continental trade. "Airships aren't for scouting my friend." Chazz was being stern. " When you set up a mine in the alps without roads, how do move all your equipment? Airships can bring all the material you need in one trip. Thousands of pounds of materials in one swoop. The land galleon."
Chazz paused a moment then spoke again, "You know in a short amount of time you went from sailing on a raft in Pyron, to the largest shipping industry in all of Asemon. You are crafty, intelligent, and that makes me cautious dealing with you. No disrespect Zandrophin I don't trust anyone."
