Eira waited with her Toddle in her arms for her competitors to arrive, sure that they would want an explanation for her very special competition. This one was in honor of the eventful and very successful summer that Eirlys had, what with a new city opening up and many new advancements being made to their daily lives. Fall preparations were to begin the next day, so the end of the summer season was a time Eira believed should be celebrated before their hard work was to begin for their isolated winter. A contest, of course, was her way of celebrating.
Nicole let out sigh as Nero moved around her in a fussing manner as she walked to where she was supposed to be for the contest she had entered. It was strange really, she was in one of the coldest places on this continent and yet, as usual, she was not cold. Looking down at her black Lolita dress, she wondered how much she stood out amongst the white that surrounded her. Those thoughts, however, were constantly being interrupted by the pestering of her faithful friend.
“Nero, for the love of everything, stop!” She said after a while giving the Ninetails a small reprimanding look at his persistence of trying to keep her warm. “I’m fine. I can’t feel it remember? I’ll be okay. Knock it off.” Nero gave a small whine at that and a huff followed by a glare. Nicole merely rolled her eyes good-naturedly and continued to walk to where she had been told she needed to go.
Z walked into the town wearing a black winter coat under his usual cloak and with Tsurara, Kit, and Ruby at his side. Ruby was flitting about, looking at the new environment and also looking to hopefully cause a bit of mischief while exploring. She was new to the team, and had issues with some of Z's other pokemon due to her previous history with them, but Kit was always there to keep her in line with a moonblast attack. At least now, the sableye were working to help the miners dig as opposed to eating the ore and stones.
Mariko gave a small sigh as she looked around the area she had been to only once before. Snowdrop was walking beside her, making happy sounds as she kicked up snow and blew it away from her. Above her, Celeste, Finn, and Windy seemed to be flapping faster than normal to keep warm, while Luka being the only one not doing so as his typing allowed him to feel warmth in the cold. Her newest Pokemon, Jazz, sat on her shoulder sucking up as much warmth as she could from her trainer, small shivers going through her tiny form every once in a while. Sighing, Mariko shifted the sleeves of her Kimono, another of the ones she had brought with her from her days in the theater, and tried to pull the teal-ish and flower patterned fabric down slightly to cover more of her arms from the cold. It really seemed that she had adapted to living in Pyron much better than she was adapting to her brief stay in this cold land.
Zandrophin was dropped into the snow near the landmark tree of Slivertree Village. He shook his head to clear his vision from the teleportation. He had foregone his thick jacket for a long-sleeve shirt and pants. The white shirt and light grey pants helped him blend into the snow a bit better...not that he could really blend in...most people in this area knew who he was already. In all honesty, he was unsure if he wanted to perform at all; he may just want to observe..whoever else had shown up.
He headed towards the center of town. Though he had mixed feelings about returning here, he put a confident look on his face and kept walking.

Z began to walk through the town to meet up with Eira. He was looking forward to the upcoming contest and hoped he would be able to win the badge of this hall and event, and he hoped he could catch up with some of the friends he made along the way. He knew that Kit would like seeing Eira again. His Sylveon was like an affectionate cat with most people and liked to make friends as long as people petted her and scratched behind her ears and at the base of her tail.
Eira waited patiently at her perch at the edge of the stage in Lapras Lounge, knowing that there would be someone here soon. She had made sure to advertise as much as possible all over Eirlys and Celosia about this festival, so she had high hopes for the amount of people that was to show up. In particular, she hoped to see some of her friends again since the summer had been quite the busy season and she had been pulled away with so much work.
Z headed toward Lapras Lounge and walked in through the door. He pulled his coat tight around his body so that the cold wouldn't get to him and took a few minutes to make sure that Ruby wasn't picking another fight with sparky. "Hello?" called out Z, "I've come for the festival." Sparky blew a few embers into her hands to warm up while Kit jumped up to Z's shoulder and curled up like a kitten taking a nap. Tsurara was enjoying herself in the icy environment and floated around, enjoying the scenery.
The cold breeze swept his raven hair both in and out of his silvery eyes. He almost couldn’t bring himself to go in, but he had already registered. ’This is for Kaname…’ He looked back to his companion who seemed excited to finally test his skills in a contest. After Kaname went inside, he submitted to the fact he had no choice now and followed.
Once inside, he realized he must’ve been the last to enter. Everyone else seemed to be congregating around Lady Eira-Tsubame froze instantly. Wearing a gorgeous kimono, he couldn’t be mistaken. Mariko! She’s here! Again! He couldn’t tell if he was happy, sad, nervous, or just sick. Kaname noticed something was obviously wrong, and tugged his hand and mind back into reality.
”I’m fine bud. Let’s go find Lady Eira and thank her for welcoming us.” He shook out his hair and tried to focus his attention elsewhere. He couldn’t help but notice the standoutish blonde hair of the man he had once met, and once saw in Mariko’s clinic. ’Mariko…’ His eyes flicked back to her kimono. It was beautiful, especially how it contrasted with her brunette locks, oh how he wanted them to drape over her shoulders and really melt into the exquisite gown.

Zandrophin's eyes passed over his competitors. He recognized every one of them...a fact he was glad in. It made competing much easier if you didn't have to try to learn about who you were competing against.
Depending on the perameters for this contest...we may be ill-prepared for it, Sir.
Well, then...we'll give them a good show...like always. When in doubt, dazzle the crowd.
Zandrophin gazed a bit longer at the man with the silver eyes. He recognized him from a while back...Tsubame was the name...
Sir...he's the other presence from the clinic! I recognize his aura.
Ah...so he was the one who didn't come out to say hello....how rude...Ah, well...what's done is done.
While the others went up to Lady Eira to inform her that they had arrived, he simply looked at her until she noticed him...at which point he simply nodded.

A few people had entered the contest so far and had even come to say hello to her, but Eira was trying to wait for everyone to gather together before she introduced what the contest would be like. She hoped people would gather around her soon since she was waiting to let the audience in until everyone was there. "Go round everyone up, Meta."
She took out the Ditto's ball and let it roll across the stage before a shiny Pidove flew from the light it gave off. Meta flew high in his transformed state and decided to circle around to each of the gathered competitors, chattering with their Pokemon so that the Pokemon could get their humans to start gathering around his queen.
Z saw the pidove and decided to head to the area that they were supposed to meet up at. He let out a short whistle to call the rest of his team and they headed into the icy hall. Tsurara looked around at the ice decorations and sculptures that adorned the walls of the frozen hall. She was slightly envious that her own art wasn't quite up to par with the sculptures that were on display here, but she still was enjoying herself and the feeling of the frigid environment. Sparky continued to warm herself by breathing embers into her hands while Z kept an eye on ruby to make sure she wouldn't get them in trouble by breaking some priceless sculpture.
Nicole finally found herself in the area she needed to be within the Lapras Lounge and found herself looking around the interior. “A building made of ice… Careful not to sneeze in here Nero.” She said looking down at the Pokemon who was still attempting to mother hen her. Said Pokemon merely scoffed in his own personal way and looked around at their surroundings with a slight grumble, still not a fan of the cold. Giving a small laugh at the expense of her best friend, Nicole then looked towards where she was sure she had seen Eira, knowing she still had her greetings and thanks to give for being allowed to join the contest. However, the queen seemed to be popular today, and thus, Nicole found herself standing back, waiting for the others to go first before she gave her own greetings. It would do her no good to walk over and interrupt someone else.
It wasn't until she saw the Pidove, that she realized that the contest was about to start. "Well, the greeting can wait I guess. Come on Nero, let's go." She said moving to where the Pidove was trying to lead people.
Upon seeing the Pidove flying around Mariko gave a small sigh and looked around at all of her Pokemon flying/walking around her she nodded them towards the area the rest of the contestants were gathering. “Looks like we are being gathered. Snowdrop, sweetie, please hold onto my Kimono, I don’t want you to get separated from me.” She said to the Smoochum near her feet, who looked at her curiously before doing what was ask of her. If her mother figure didn’t want her to get lost, then she didn’t want to lose her trainer either. Finn and Windy seemed to move so that they flanked Mariko’s left and right sides, while Luka and Celeste moved to perch themselves on her shoulders. In all honesty, she was pretty sure she looked like she was heading to a battle instead of a contest. Giving another sigh, she began to move forward, all her Pokemon, minus Celeste and Luka who were on her shoulders, moving with her.
Eira waited for everyone to gather around her before she began to tell them about this contest.
"Today's first round will be like all other contests that I have held here. You may use a Pokemon to give us as beautiful of a show as you possibly can and try to wow me," she explained, looking at each of her contestants in turn. "The first round is pretty simple but it will set up pretty good lead for whoever shines once the second round begins. Let's see, Miss Nicole was it? Will you start things off once we let the audience in? Everyone else, please wait back stage for your turn."
