Victor was hard at work. Starforge Town had commissioned him to build a modern irrigation system. His design would utilize the near by aquifer and transport much needed water to the farms dotting the outskirt of town. It was mid-afternoon, the blazing sun beat down on Victor as he was finishing the last water tower. 5 in all, these towers consisted of one main tower and four smaller ones. This new improvement would give farmers a controlled flow during the drought season.
Even though he was a one man crew, Victor was only weeks into the job and nearly finished. This was due to his pokemon companion Atlas. The quite large autonomous Golett, easily moved all of the heavy equipment and materials into place. The strange pokemon was goofy and extremely curious about the world. Victor had found him in an underground ruined city back home, and Atlas had followed him ever since.
Victor was putting the last panel into place, and all it needed was a few more nails. "Atlas.....ATLAS!!!!" The pokemon raised its head and banged it against the bottom of the tower. "Dang it you dented it. Now I'm going to have to replace those pieces." In almost a gear like manner the pokemon's face almost turned into a frown. Sad and wanting to make amends to Victor, Atlas ripped off the panel, and bent it in half. The force removed the dent but left the panel completely ruined. Attempting to conceal his failure, Atlas looked around and threw the panel as far as he could.
"I saw you throw that." Victor's frustration was almost broken by Atlas' child like nature. Atlas dipped his head and walked toward Victor in a defeated demeanor. "It's ok big guy you can make amends just hand me the hammer. " Victor couldn't stay mad at his Golett even if he tried, and without him he wouldn't be able to stay independent and travel where he wished.
Atlas, quick to regain his trainer's confidence went for the hammer. After repeated attempts to get it out of the bag, for which his hands were to big to reach in. Atlas shook it with his right hand. In almost a transformer like motion his hand disappeared up his arm and was replaced by a thruster. Boom! It went off spinning Atlas around as he attempted to beat the thruster with his other arm to make it stop. Victor had never seen this before, and was too shocked to move.
The truster finally stopped, and returned to its normal form as Atlas' arm. Dazed and confused Atlas stumbled around. His demeanor reminiscent of a drunken man on an all night bender. Atlas regained form as he saw the hammer laying in the dirt. "Golett!!" He squealed at it as he went to pick it up. He quickly snatched it and began to rise up from the ground. He then stopped, and looked at Victor. His face resembled one of sheer terror as he stared at his trainer. Victor knew something was wrong. "Oh, No!!! This is not good."
Atlas let out a faint whimper and sheepishly said, "gooollleeettttttt!" All four of his limbs turned into rockets and blasted him into the air. Atlas smashed into the nearly completed water tower, and pieces went flying in every direction. Dust went everywhere and Victor shielded himself. After the dust had cleared Victor rummaged through the rubble for his Golett. Atlas's hand bursted through a still intact panel, holding a now charred, and bent hammer. Muffled by the rubble you could still hear a proudly said, "Golett."
