Z nodded and Alloy made a quick probe of Victor's mind, getting what he needed to know. Alloy glowed with a blue aura and the parts began to float into the air and piece themselves together. Bolts were screwed into place and gears attached to the framework. "Will you need any help with welding or something of the sort?" asked Z, "I have a friend who is quite useful when it comes to things that involve a controlled stream of fire concentrated in a single place."
"Well that depends on the temperature", he moved two pieces of excess metal to the clearing. "Ok, have your fire pokemon weld those to together, I need to make sure when he welds it won't compromise the metal. Sometimes too much heat can ruin things. " Victor laughed. By this time Atlas was still confused by Alloy's entrance into his mind. It was like all at once Atlas was contemplating the universe or nothing at all. "Don't mind Atlas, who knew that a several thousand year old pokemon could be so child like. Must have been the damage to him when I found him. Interesting story, though it is part of the reason I am on this continent."
"Only create what you understand, and even then use caution."
"Um," said Z, "Sparky's a she. and I'll call her." Z put his fingers to his mouth and let out a shrill whistle. soon a Blaziken came running up. "Meet Sparky, my faithful pokemon and dear friend. Sparky, I called you here cause we could use your help and fire to weld some parts together for the irrigation system that is going to be installed. As usual, keep the flames under control and far away from Alloy as he works."
Victor's face was shocked he miss identified the gender of the pokemon. "My sincerest apologies I mean't no offense. Sorry the heat has apparently drained me of my senses. It is very nice to meat you, he gave a slight bow to the pokemon. " Victor's mind quickly shifted focus. "I need to measure the temperature of the flame she can produce. Too hot and it could compromise the metal. "Victor quickly reached into his bag for a small plank, with a reader hookup up by a oddly charred wire. "Here everyone get back except for sparky. Alloy if you could measure Sparky's physical process of making the heat so we can generate exactly the right amount. When the time comes. Is everyone ready?"
"Only create what you understand, and even then use caution."
"Why don't you just tell her how hot you need it?" asked Z, "We've been working on control for a long time, so that sort of thing shouldn't really be that much of an issue. Also, Alloy isn't the best choice to measure flame as he's a steel type and he is weak against fire type attacks. Trust me, Sparky has a good grasp on her fire, so she'll be able to match the temperature that you tell her to keep it at."
"Can you do a concentrated blast of about 3100 degrees Celsius, Sparky?" Victor took a step back. "I just want to make sure, here Sparky do a concentrated blast at near the center of the plank. " Victor put his light filter on his glasses. He pulled out a note book and began taking notes on Sparky. He was very interested in how pokemon produced there abilities, and was fond of observing them close up. It was a small side hobby to keep him busy. Victor never stayed in one place for too long, but was starting to develop quite a documentation on pokemon's abilities.
"Only create what you understand, and even then use caution."
Sparky took a deep breath and shot a thin stream of fire from her beaked mouth that hit the center of the plank and burned a thin hole through the plank. The fire was exactly the level of heat that was required and after a few seconds, Sparky turned it off, leaving a bullet sized hole burned in the wood with a small black circle of burnt wood surrounding it. Sparky smirked and looked extremely proud of herself.
Victor double checked the reading of his device. "Wow, I must say what a fantastic display of energy control. To be quite honest one of the best I've ever seen." Victor jotted down extensive notes in his journal, taking into account every motion, breathe, and even the ambiance of the situation. He timed, dated, and signed the page, then placed the journal promptly back into his pack. "Well I think I've seen enough. Thank you Sparky for your wonderful display...." Victor wiped the sweat from his brow and continued to speak. "Shall we get to work then?"
"Only create what you understand, and even then use caution."
"Just tell us what you need done first," said Z, "we're ready and willing to help. I can go and prepare some cold drinks, as the weather these days is quite hot and dry, especially in these parts of the region." Alloy nodded i agreement (as best he could) but sparky just shrugged and gave a 'meh' sound as if she didn't care. Which she didn't of course, what with her being a natural fire type.
