Past Ghosts [OPEN]

Nicole's eyes widened as the ground started to move underneath her and Nero's feet.  Nero was standing in a battle stance, all nine of his gorgeous tails standing on end, a snarl on his face.  This told Nicole all she needed to know.  Another Pokemon had used Earthquake and there was no telling whether they were friendlies or not.  Climbing onto Nero's back, Nicole urged him to head towards where he believed the attack had come from.  If there was a chance the Pokemon was close by, and it was angered, that it needed to be calmed if possible.  If not, the two could get away, if needed, and make their way to the Jagged Ridge as fast as they could travel until the Pokemon decided it no longer cared.

As they got closer to the area where the Earthquake attack came from, they noticed that there was a person standing near what seemed to be a Golett, the most likely source for the Earthquake attack.  Slowing down, Nero began to trot over to where the two figures were, Nicole slowly getting ready for whatever was to come.

Victor was firmly stuck under the rubble. He wasn't super strong, so he was completely immobilized by the pile of rocks. "Well this is a crappy situation." Victor mustered all the strength in his lungs, and yelled, "ATLAS!!!!" Their was nothing for a few moments, then one by one the rocks were removed from Victor's body. It was a wonder to Victor that he only had a few scratches. Atlas gave Victor a defeated look, he knew he had done wrong, but did not understand his own actions. "Atlas, do not and I repeat do not do that again. " Golett looked in sadness at his master, "Golett?"

"Well so much for traversing the plains incognito." Victor looked out to the plains to see if anyone was on there way to check it out.

When the young woman approached and her pokemon followed suite. Victor almost wanted to play dead, just in case they were enemies, but the moment they came into full view, Victor knew they weren't. Victor cleaned his spectacles with his handkerchief and bid the woman hello. "Hello...um....yes I am fine. I apologize if Atlas startled you or scared your pokemon. He is an interesting companion and doesn't have much experience with the outside world. " The young woman was very pretty, but Victor wanted to make a good impression for the sake he didn't want to end up face down in a ditch. Atlas saw the pokemon and startled by there sudden arrival tried to hide behind Victor. "Atlas don't be shy....Silly Golett. Ohh I am sorry I didn't introduce myself. "My name is Victor, inventor, and traveler. I humbly make your acquaintance."

Prasha came into view of the two and smiled a bit. Nicole? It is her. Prasha smiled to himself. He was happy to see her, it was last time at his Curry shop he had met her.  Prasha walked up covered with dirt, but you could see the white of his smile. 

"Hello Nicole." Prasha laughed nervously. "Long time no see how is life?" Prasha then turned to Victor, who he had ot yet met. "How are you sir, I don't believe we have met before?" Prasha extended his hand to the man. 

Prasha was tired and hungry, his stomach rumbled and he chuckled a little embarrassed. 

Nicole's eyes widened in surprise when she saw Prasha approach.  She hadn't seen him since she had left Celosia.  "Prasha?  What are you doing here?"  She asked in surprise before shaking her head and answering the other question asked.   "Life is fine I guess.  I'm finally going back to the Desert Wastes."  Again she Shook her head and looked back at Victor who had offered his hand for Prasha to shake.  This whole situation was slightly amusing, but at the same time confusing. 

Nero seemed to have finally calmed down by now and was watching the scene closely, his head swiveling to and fro to whomever was speaking at the time.  He still did not trust the Golett, but his trainer seemed nice.  And though he had made a point of saying the Golett didn't know much about the world, he couldn't help but feel annoyed by it.  Honestly, he couldn't even remember why he was as social as he was when he was a Vulpix.  Maybe because he was more immature in his pre-evolved  form?  Or maybe it was because he had even more power to protect Nicole with now?  He really didn't know for certain.  Turning his head to look back at Nicole, he gave her a questioning look.  Nicole, catching the look, tilted her head and returned it, though she vocalized the question the look stood for.  "What's wrong?  You usually like to socialize."  Nero gave a huff in response and motioned towards the other Pokeballs on the strap she kept her in use Pokeballs on.  Raising an eyebrow she wondered why Nero seemed to want Phaedra (and maybe Rhea as well?) to be out.  "What...  Is this about what happened in Ignacia?  They aren't randomly running up to me and squealing over you, you know."  She said with a sigh.  Nero merely motioned once more, asking for reinforcement(s).

Letting out a small annoyed groan she reached up and took Phaedra's Pokeball from her bag.  "Pardon me for this."  She muttered before she pushed the button and released her Braixen from her Pokeball.  The fox Pokemon let out a small call as she appeared with a flourish, beside Nero, before she looked around confused as to why she had been called out.  Nicole placed the now empty Pokeball back on her backpack strap before reaching for the Luxury ball one down and crooked the arm she was not using the hand of.  Pressing the button, the light that came out appeared Rhea right into the crook made to hold her.  Luckily she was still asleep.  Nicole then placed the empty ball back on the same strap she had retrieved it from and sighed.  Nero, however, seemed happy that he now had reinforcements, thus making the situation less tense for him.

"There, you happy?  You just made a situation ten times more awkward than it should be by making me place Phaedra and Rhea into the mix....  And yes Phaedra, that is why you are out.  Nero is being an anti-social being, which is supposed to be my job.  I just hope Rhea does not wake up...."  Nicole the Braixen who gave Nero a look.  All-the-while Rhea slept on.

Nero gave the berry a hard stare before accepting it from Prasha's hand, allowing himself to also be petted on the head.    When Nachos was released Nero merely stared at him for a moment before giving a small nod and huff back.  While this was going on, Phaedra had made it her duty to take Rhea from Nicole and was currently rocking her in order to keep the Togepi asleep.  Nicole, however, was looking  at the sky and trying to figure out how much time she would have before having to set up camp once more.  The fact that Prasha was covered in sand meant that he had been in the area of the place she was heading, though he might have come from a different direction than the one she was taking as a precaution.  Finally figuring an estimate of time, she turned her attention to the two men with her and cleared her throat to get their attention.

"Sorry to interrupt the reunion and the meeting of new peoples and Pokemons, but if I am going to make it to my first camping area on the way to the Desert Wastes I have to go now."  She said, a sheepish look on her face.  Nero gave her a small nod of approval knowing she was telling the truth, while Phaedra gave her a questioning yet hopeful look as she continued to rock Rhea back and forth.  Noticing Phaedra's look, Nicole sighed and nodded.  "Yes, I guess that means you can stay out and travel alongside Nero and I instead of in your Pokeball.  Rhea, however, has to go back in hers.  The journey might be a little difficult on her right now.  Maybe when she's a little more used to knowing one area on a permanent basis, but not now."  She sighed taking Rhea gently from Phaedra who gave an understanding nod and handed the baby Pokemon over.  Once Rhea was back in her arms, Nicole moved one hand carefully to take the Togepi's Luxury ball and returned the slumbering baby Pokemon to it.  She then looked back at the two men she had been speaking to and waited for their responses.
