Nicole let out a sigh as she stepped out of her tent and stretched. She was finally heading back to the Desert Wastes. Sure her experiences in the Starfort gym and Ignacia's Houndoom Hall (and the ball at the castle afterwards) had been fun, but that didn't deter her from wanting to return to the place her journey had started. She was finally getting to keep her promise to Phaedra. Right now she was stay right where the agreed boarder line between Celosia and the Eastern Plains was. She planned to cross through a small portion of the Eastern Plains to hit the Jagged Ridge area of the Desert Wastes first.
As she was about to start up the fire to make some breakfast, a small whine came from inside her tent signaling Rhea's awakening, and the medium-loud sounds of Nero and Phaedra shuffling awake, were heard. Shaking her head, Nicole turned and opened the flap of her tent to see Phaedra holding Rhea in her canine-like arms, while Nero was nuzzling her. The two obviously did not want a tantrum this early and moved quickly to quiet her down. "Nero, Phaedra, you two know you can come outside right? And bring Rhea with you. I'm going to start breakfast." The two sent Nicole a grateful look and without missing a beat, they squeezed by her out the open tent flap. The two then stationed themselves around the campfire pit, Phaedra still holding Rhea, who seemed to be distracted with playing with Phaedra's fur. Laughing to herself, Nicole got to work once more on making the fire and starting breakfast.
About an hour later, Nicole was ready to start walking, her tent and the blankets that she used for covers thoroughly folded and placed into her backpack. It was then that Nicole had to pat herself on the back for making it as big as it was. Once she was sure everything else was taken care of, such as the fire being put out completely, she took Rhea from Phaedra and easily placed the now asleep Togepi in the Luxury ball she had bought for her. Okay so she spoiled the baby Pokemon, so what. She then turned to Phaedra who stood at ready knowing that she would be the next to be placed in her ball. Nicole gave her a smile and took Phaedra's ball from her backpack strap, calling the Pokemon in. Nero was the only one who stayed out of his ball for the most part due to him being used to wandering.
Finally done with everything, Nicole looked to Nero and nodded before the two began to move forward, starting their journey into the Eastern Plains.
