Cat stretching, Marcus stood up from his camp, eager to start the day, move on to the next route and find new places, people and experiences. Since leaving home at the capital of Celosia, he's learned he loves the open air, the open road and adventure. "I've missed out on so much. Good thing I started when I did and didn't keep doing what I was doing with you, buddy." From the tent emerged a taller than normal sized Vigoroth named Sofa. "Vigoroth vig..."
"No offense, I loved our days napping together back when you were still a Slakoth, but you have to admit," Marcus walked over to the top of the hill they were on where a break in the canopy down below showed them a panoramic view of the countryside; sprawling, luscious green hills, trees breaking up halfway out to the horizon into a long prairie. "this is so much better." Sofa walked up next to his friend, nodded his head and grunted his agreement. The forest extended north into the frozen territory of Eirlys, the dense trees looked more and more like they were dusted in powdered sugar the farther back they went. And just at the edge of the eastern horizon could be seen...
"A town! I see a town!" Marcus ran back to the tent, rummaged through it for a bit and emerged with a spyglass. He pointed it in the general direction of the east. "Yeah, that's definitely a town. That's gotta be Enya, which means the sea can't be much farther." Collapsing the spyglass, Marcus rushed back to the tent to put it back in his bag. "Let's hurry up and make this tent up so we can go get some decent grub before it's too late for breakfast, huh buddy?" At the prospect of a warm, fresh meal, Sofa went right to work putting things up and cleaning the campsite to get going. "Whoa! Be careful with that! You don't want to drop it before it hatches, do you?" Marcus slowly took the Wynaut egg from Sofa's claws and placed it in it's specially protective container. "It's been shaking for a while, I think that means it's almost ready to hatch." Turning around, Marcus looked to the mountain range to the north west with the deep tundras and blizzards that he knew lie beyond them. "I hope it hatches soon."
The sun rising on the horizon was just breaking away from the earth when the two friends set out for the oldest town in Asemon.
