I send my power into da machines and it is used to power da town's lamps and such. I also absorb energy fro ligntnin storms to increase da voltage that I can pump into da generators."

The blue haired gentleman laughed "Well, Vivian, that's interesting... so you look for storms, scout out new places or just... fly as free as a Sparrow?"

*Larrviiitar...* "Wow, that's amazing, that one of ours can actually this of such an advanced piece of machinery." The little Larvitar poked at the bed a bit, wanting to test if it was electrical, Tara was an adventurous type of Pokemon who wanted to interact with everything she didn't meet with a harsh lesson at first glance.

*I just fly free,* said Vivian, *not much really for me to do around here. I like to just explore and fly around the town. there are great air currents here.*

Volt shrugged, *I wouldn't do that.* when the little pokemon touched the metal, a painful electric shock went through her body *I'm pumping a lot of juice through this device,* said Volt, *people aren't allowed to bring metal within fifteen feet, because it would draw in some of the stray power and electrocute them. That's why not many people come by here. It's rather dangerous.

Z shrugged, "We have a pokemon Ranger visiting today, so I thought I'd show him around. I can bring him by later if he wants to come, but he'll have to be careful too." Z looked at the little Larvitar, "make sure to stay on the isolated walkway so that you're grounded from any stray shocks. The dirt is filled with metallic particles, so it's not safe to step off of the pathway this close to the generators."

Tara like a ragdoll being tossed to the side was thrown back a few feet from the stray electric current, after the encounter she was a bit charred like badly cooked barbecue but quickly regained her senses after a few minutes and quickly stood back up trying to shake off some of the black ash from her body "Larvitar!" *Wow, that was surprising... didn't see that coming...* as she scurried back to Z's side, using his leg to hide behind "Lar-vi-tar" *Yes, Mr.Z, I think I learned that lesson.*

Z chuckled, "Just be more careful next time and you won't get shocked. There's a lot of voltage running through these generators as they have to be able to power the entire town without volt for some periods of time. Shall we find your partner, then?" he asked the larvitar, picking up the smaller pokemon and placing her on his shoulder, "We'll visit again later, Volt, and I'll bring your favorite snacks too." *Ya ya,* said Volt, *see ya later. I'll need a new crossword too.*

The little Larvitar sat on his shoulder, but she thought of something and quickly acted upon it, she turned and poked the Gym leader gently in the head "Larrri-tar." *Mr.Z* she began her question "Lar-lar, larvitar" *Do you think we could meet more of your Partners-* she turned to face Volt, who was idly on the bed reading a little book while powering the towns generator, she closed a small gap with her snout to his ear, she began to whisper "Lar...Larvvvi-tar" *Because Mr. Volt isn't the talky type.*

The Ranger tossed another poketreat into the air, hoping the butterfly pokemon would catch and eat it, like most sparrows did when they landed on his head when he was deployed to Kanto a while back "Ahhhh, the easy life of a Pokemon eh, to live carefree to do whatever you wanna do..."

"Say, can you take me to the Pokemon Center, I think I need a nap."

"Alright," said Z, "you can meet a bunch of them when we go and visit the mines. And don't mind volt, he doesn't get much chance to socialize and tends to be like this. Shall we find your trainer?"

*eh, why not,* said Vivian as she watched the treat fall, *and I don't do tricks for treats.* The butterfly pokemon lifted off and began to fly through the town, knowing the other trainer would follow behind her. She flew through the busy streets heading toward the center.
