Nicole was once more feeling like she had been whiplashed at the suddenness that came with the woman in front of her’s moods. But once everything was said and done, she finally pieced together what was going on and gave a small stunned nod, though what she had just answered she wasn’t quite sure. Instead, she was shocked to see the guards moving to take the chandelier down, careful to put out the candles as they did so. Nero was also confused by this and watched intently, the scene in front of him as he tried to figure it out. By the end of the actions Nicole was so unsure of what had just happened, that when Akane stated the deal was done, she was caught by surprise about the title added to her name.
“Wait, wait, wait… Duchess?” She questioned wanting an answer before she was to be escorted away with her new chandelier (that had been quickly replaced by the one that had been brought in sometime during her confusion).

Nicole stammered about the duchess title. Akane paused and with a puzzled look, turned back to face her and explain to Nicole the new position a little more clearly.
”Yes. If you are to be my vassal over there, you will be the Duchess of the Jagged Ridge. Feel free to rename it by the way; people haven’t been the most creative with the names.” She shook her head. ”You may choose whatever title suits you best after you turn eighteen, but for now, you have to get used to it. In fact, I will be pleased to announce our alliance tonight at the ball. I only have one more condition for this new position, however.”
”I simply need you to decide not only what happens to the ridge during times of crisis, and every now and then my people would like to see you. So some guest appearances are necessary, but really only for the important ones. The queen stopped in her rambling to help place the new chandelier.

Nicole thought about what Akane was asking. "Well, I guess that I can come and visit... But I'll leave you to decide when I come to Celosia. And during crisis... I'll probably pull away into the ridge unless I am absolutely needed. My battle skills aren't bad when it comes to Pokemon battles, but swords and other weapons... Well I can't guarantee actually being of any use there." She stated, answering the last part of Akane's speech first.
"And well... I like the name of the Jagged Ridge as is. Unless I start a town there-..." Here she broke off to stifle a giggle, "-I don't see the point in renaming it." She finished. She didn't know how to comment about the fact that she would probably be announced as a duchess at the ball, but she figured she could come up with a response to that soon. Most likely it would be five minutes before Akane made the announcement and her comment would be that she was chickening out of the announcement.

Seemingly not paying attention and barking orders at the guards as to where the chandelier got placed, she stopped suddenly to look behind her at the younger girl.
”Don’t worry, I always send letters to people when their presence is requested… No no back to the left! No required. Yes when their presence is demanded for.” A little dazed she snapped back into reality when the fixture was placed and being bolted into place.
”Now, don’t worry yourself over trivial matters. Normally people complain about not having enough to do but I guess with yourself, there’s only you.” She shook her head.

Nicole just nodded at the comments made, at this point completely confused with the conversation as a whole. "Well, hopefully I won't need to be summoned all that often. I think I like my solitude a lot more than being around people. I know for a fact that was one of the things that annoyed you greatly the last so many times you have seen me." She commented giving the woman a small half-smile. She wasn't sure what else would be expected to talk about at this moment, especially since it seemed that they had covered everything that needed to be talked about already. "Is that everything that you wanted to talk to me about? Because if it was... I don't want to seem rude, but I would like to go back home. And I doubt that your guards will want to carry the chandelier, if they are helping me carry it, much s longer than they need to."

”Before you go…” All of her attention was focused on Nicole alone at this moment. ”Do clean up your place. I would love to visit soon.” Her expression was serene and almost dreamy before she faced her guards again.
”Reiner, Taren. Go with her and take the chandelier and the rapidashes.” She flicked her mane of hair off her shoulder. ”And Duchess, visit my gym sometime. It’s opening up here in Ignacia soon. I think you have the skills to beat my team.”

Nicole could only nod at this slightly numb from everything that had happened in the last… However long the meeting took. Thankfully, it did seem like Akane was going to lend her some of her guards to help her get her new chandelier back to her home. “I’ll keep that in mind, and make sure that it’s clean.” She said in response to the visit comment, while silently wondering why the queen would want to visit her literal hole in the wall of a home. To her, there wasn’t too much to be impressed with right now since she was still constructing certain areas, and expanding others. As she was escorted out, she could only hope that the other woman would send warning as to when she was going to visit so that she could put whatever she was working on, on hold and clean up before the visit.
