"Oh, he's not rampaging," said Z calmly, "he is in complete control. If he was rampaging, this place would be torn down by now." Volt smirked the electricity from the last attack had done no damage to him and had in fact given him a boost in speed due to his motor drive ability. Volt then roared and fired a thunderbolt at Elly, knowing Z's usual strategy well enough to act on his own if needed to. Z glanced at the ceiling and noticed the hole, smirking as he made a plan on how to use it to its best.
That wasn't terribly reassuring to hear about his Pokemon. But regardless Maya wanted this Pokemon finished with soon before it managed to rampage. Elly gave a cackling giggle and took the Thunderbolt like a champ, which was a surprise for her. Elly had decently high Special Defense and it wasn't super effective thank god. Still, it wasn't like it didn't hurt her.
"Shadow Ball!" Maya shouted.
"Chaaaaaannaaa~" Elly complied in her sing song tone, swinging back and forth. She twirled and conjured a massive Shadow Ball and fired it off, at the electric Pokemon. pokemon-pokedex.findthebest.com/compare/228-609/Electivire-vs-Chandelure (I didn't do this for Rotom because they don't have W-Rotom stats...)
The attack slammed into Volt and sent him staggering back a bit. "Return," said Z, "Go Scorpio!" Z threw out another pokeball, sending his drapion onto the field, "Scopio, use poison tail!" Scorpio roared and its tail glowed purple and struck out at the ghost/fire type, trying to land a few hits and hopefully poison its opponent in order to get some kind of advantage in this battle. Z knew that the pokemon knew shadow ball, but he didn't know its other attacks yet, so he would be careful.
The tale swiped at Elly and she gave an outraged cry, her swaying in air faltering at the attack. The blue flames on her head and chandelier arms flared red and taller as her yellow eyes flashed in anger. Maya hardly had time to give a command because Elly appeared to have already made up her mind for her.
Boom.
"O-Overheat!" Maya called tripping over her words.
The flames on the Pokemon flared and for a moment, Elly's body flushed a flaming red like fired iron. She made high pitched screech and a wave of heat and fire exploded outward. Maya ducked but she didn't have to worry. The flames dissipated before it could cause the wood to catch fire. But it did scorch some of the dark wood much to Maya's chagrin.
Z smirked as the flames closed in on scorpio, "Hold firm my friend," he called out. Scorpio braced himself as the wave of heat and fire slammed into him, burning him slightly, "Now," said Z, "you know what to do!" Scorpio roared and his body glowed blackish purple and he charged at the smaller pokemon at high speed. with a roar it channeled all the damage it had taken from the overheat and channeled it into its Payback attack, enhancing its power with both the Same-type bonus and the previous damage.
Elly gave a high pitched warbling shriek. The Payback hit her full on and she crumpled to the still muddy floor. Maya panicked.
"P-pain Split!" She called, not even sure Elly could manage that.
Evidently Elly had more drive than she thought. It was weak but a purplish flame surrounded the crumpled chandelier Pokemon. The same flame, a representation of his health, surrounded Scorpio as, well but brighter, until suddenly both flames surrounded the Pokemon flared. Elly's began to grow brighter, larger and the Drapion's began to shrink as it sucked away at his health. Soon both Pokemon had the same exact flame surrounding them until it dissipated. Elly weakly picked herself up off the floor, barely hanging in there. (They now have the same HP proportionally)
(got it) Z watched as this happened, "alright then Scorpio, use cross poison!" The scorpion pokemon let out a roar and it's claws glowed with a sickly purple light as it charged at the chandelier pokemon. It wasn't moving as fast as it wanted, due to the exhaustion that the pain split attack had inflicted upon him, but he was determined to give it his all and win this battle for his trainer. He moved in close and slashed his claws, creating a purple X of energy.
Elly gave another shriek, furious that she was unable to continue and despised the pain that was inflicted on her. Try as she might to hold on it was clear that she was done. With that the chandelier Pokemon collapsed, the flames of her metal arms extinguished, leaving only the center ball of her face to flicker faintly, yellow eyes shut. Maya sighed. Well that was peachy.
"Wallace would you mind helping Elly out?" Maya called out. The Aegislash appeared from nowhere in a flourish, drifted over to Elly, scooped her up in his cloth arms, and then vanished. For now Elly would rest elsewhere somewhere warm.
"All right then Wire, give it your all," she said to the Pokeball and flung it out into the field, the Rotom reappearing. Its floating faltered slightly but it seemed to be managing very well. "Thunderbolt!"
Wire sparked and crackled, outline of his body popping and sparking as a wicked Thunderbolt crashed out of the sky to hit the Drapion.
Scorpio roared with pain as the thunderbolt struck its body and it fell to the ground, having taken too much damage to be able to continue fighting. "Return," said Z as he recalled Scorpio to his pokeball, "Alright, Go, Volt!" Z threw another pokeball and Volt emerged with a roar. "Volt, use brick break!" Volt ran forward and got ready to smash Wire with a glowing fist when he got close enough to punch it.
Wire gave a mildly worried 'bzzzt' at the charging Pokemon. The Rotom was rather... indifferent to pain. It tended to take it like a champ. It was a ghost after all. What did it need to fear then?
"Hydro Pump!" Maya called, in an effort to deflect or at least hinder his attack.. Wire gave twirl and an explosion of water burst out from his hose and tried to force Volt back. Maya wasn't sure if that water pressure would be enough to stop that Brick Break...
The two attacks slammed into each other and fought for dominance. Volt pushed with all its might, but eventually the torrent of water blasted him back into the wall. "Volt!" called out Z, "Are you ok?" He got a weak thumbs up as a response, "Good," said Z, "now get to the center of the arena and send a thunderbolt into the sky. You know what I'm intending so get ready for a boost and hope that it works out this time around."
Maya frowned, curious as to what he was planning to do. But really she was boxed in and no other choice here...
"You know the drill Wire..." Maya sighed. She was going to have to work on varying the Rotoms moves if it wanted to hold its own in a battle like this. There were just too many limitations. After the battle she decided she would work on it.
The strange Pokemon gave an affirmative 'bzzzt' and forced out another Hydro Pump, huge water pressure bursting out and charging for the other Pokemon. (Sorry for taking so long things have been crazy but I'll be on more often now)
The thunderbolt that Volt had fired into the sky came crashing down onto its user just as the blast of water slammed into it. Volt was thrown back but it got up with a roar. "Now," said Z, "brick Break!" Volt roared and charged forward at speeds that greatly outpaced his previous ones. he charged up energy in his fist and prepared to slam it into the other pokemon with all of his might. the ions in the air had faded, but his attack would still pack a serious punch...no pun intended. Z watched and wondered what the third pokemon that he would have to face would be.
Wire took the attack and instantly collapsed, buzzing and humming with shorted out electricity. He made a metallic clanking sound as he hit the ground. Maya returned the unconsious Pokemon to its Pokeball. Some rest and a few potions tonight would do the trick. She sighed heavily and pocketed the Pokeball. Bo made a sound that sounded a lot like a 'boooooo' from the side until Dororo flicked the yellow Ampharos.
"Congratulations," Maya said, bowing at almost 90 degrees. "You have defeated me and my Pokemon. For your win I award you 10,000 Poke and the Wisteria Badge." She came up out of her bow and tried a slight smile. Dororo appeared with the shiny Chandelure badge, delicately made. "Your Pokemon did very well."
"Why thank you," said Z, "I had lots of fun. If you want, you could stop by Starfort for the annual halloween competition. It was a bit of a challenging battle considering that most of my pokemon specialize in physical attacks and close range combat. It was a good battle though. I hope we can battle again one day. It was nice seeing you again. I haven't seen you since the contests that we participated in together. How have you been doing?"
Z's pokemon walked off of the arena and decided to see if they could make friends with Nicole's pokemon.
