Maya steps carefully, still feeling like she should tiptoe within the wooden planked halls. The temple had no electricity to speak of but the strangely bluish lit lanterns offered an eerie yet somehow warm and pleasant light within the inner halls and at night. Elly seemed to enjoy them immensely. During the day however the light of day was enough to keep the halls and rooms within the temple lit. She preferred it at during the day at least.
It had been roughly a month since she had returned to Yūrei no Machi and done what her Aunt couldn't do. Free the people of this town from the cursed ruins of this temple. It wasn't easy not be a long shot. It took some exploring in texts she got back from a friend in Sinnoh to finally figure out what was wrong. The Distortion World. The book explained a world of darkness and topsy-turvy... The world of a single Pokemon doomed to a lonely existence. Maya shuddered as she recalled when she treaded to the center of the temple in the inner garden... the black void that swirled endlessly and spewed an aura that made Maya want to puke and die... As she began chanting, setting up the sealing needles, the paper seals, the hand movements... she could have sworn she saw a pair of glowing red eyes blinking at her from the void.
She threw open the sliding door to the outside garden around the back and hoped the outside air would chase out the chill going up her spine. It was by no means sunny but even the clouded sunlight felt good.
Maya smiled slightly as she watched Dororo reclining up in a Wisteria tree, Aki darting about the garden with Fable giggling gleefully on his back, and Bo playing a rather unfair game of hide-and-seek with Elly and hand full of other Pokemon. It was so lively and vibrant. She sighed happily as she realized that the new name suited the temple. No longer the cursed or haunted temple... but Wisteria Temple... the temple of vibrancy and life.
