Sparky was sent flying back from the blast and sent flying into the wall. from his position, Z frowned and decided to take advantage of the fact that Nero wouldn't be able to move for a little while due to the attack he had just used, "Sparky, use Attract!" Sparky blew a kiss at Nero, sending hearts flying at the other fire type that would infatuate him upon striking him. Sparky felt her speed increase from her speed booster ability that came with her new Mega form and smirked as she prepared to make her next move once the hearts had connected with her opponent.
Nero, slightly disoriented, could only stare at the incoming hearts with wide eyes. "Niiiiiinetails...." *Oh heeeeck no...." Nicole couldn't agree more with Nero's sentiment. "My thoughts exactly! Nero, if you can, dodge!" She called, hoping that the Ninetails would be able to do just that. She didn't want to see her best friend hung up over a Pokemon just because of an attack. Upon hearing the order, Nero tried to force every muscle in his body to get it together so that he could move. When he realized he was not having the best of luck in that, he did the only other thing he could think of. He threw is own weight off and began to sink to the floor. This round, no physical blows would be exchanged, but he really didn't want to have a mental blow either.

Unfortunately he wan't able to dodge out of the way and was hit by the hearts when, causing a haze to fill his mind that filled him with thoughts of love for Sparky. Sparky smirked and felt her speed one again and prepared for another attack.
"Use Flame Charge again," said Z.
Sparky nodded and launched herself at Nero, covering her body with flames as she flew at him, ready to tackle the kitsune-like pokemon with the force of her strength. She moved even faster than the last time due to her speed boost.
"Nero! Oh great...." Nicole sighed out before looking at the love struck Ninetails. "Nero, you know what, fine. Use a Flamethrower, or not." She called, making it seem that she was not happy. Nero, for a moment, actually looked like he flinched at the tone.
Standing where he was, Nero fought an internal battle on whether or not he should follow through with the attack or not. On the one hand, Nicole was upset with him, and she had never used that tone with him before, but on the other, the Pokemon in front of him, charging at him, was so pretty. Nicole, or the Blaziken in front of him... Nicole... Blaziken... Nicole... Blaziken... Nicole... Blaziken... Why did this have to be so hard?! In his frustration, Nero felt fire building up in this throat, causing him to open his mouth to realese it. It may have been weak, but it seemed the frustration he was feeling caused a Flamethrower....
Nicole smiled at that. "How's that for fifty-fifty chance...." She muttered to herself.

Z raised his eyebrows as Nero managed to launch his attack at Sparky. Unfortunately, due to the weakened state of the attack, the flame charge tore through it and Sparky slammed into Nero, sending the pokemon skidding back from the force of the attack. Sparky jumped back and felt her speed increase from the attack and again from her ability.
"Great job, Sparky!" said Z, "Keep up the power and we'll beat them."
Nicole watched, pained, as Nero was sent scooting back from the Flame Charge. Knowing this time would probably be a bust attack wise, she quickly began to put together some sort of idea. She would have to time the one attack she didn't want to waste just right.... "Nero... What do I do..." She muttered to the air. Finally she decided to just call out an attack, knowing she was probably not going to get anything from her friend. "Nero, Fire Spin."
Nero didn't make a move to perfrom the attack, his eyes glued to the Blaziken on the other side of the field. Nicole let out a sigh and couldn't help but think: why can't one of his tails get pulled... he would probably be willing to do something, even if he is infatuated.... And I can't believe this is even in my thought process....

Z smiled and chose his next move, "Sparky, use sky uppercut on the Ninetails!" Sparky nodded and rushed at the Kitsune-pokemon with her fist cocked back to deliver a powerful punch to her opponant. When she got close enough she delivered a powerful uppercut to the Ninetails that sent him flying into the ceiling of the arena. As she delivered the Attack sparky couldn't help but yell, *Shoryuken!*
Nicole bit her bottom lip to keep from freaking out as Nero fell back to earth and stumbled to get back up. Nicole then took the time Nero was shaking his head to clear away the fuzz from the blow he had taken to call out: "Nero! Use Confuse Ray!" Nero, is his befuddled thought process, began to glow and the ray began to soak around the whole room due to his inability to control what was going on. This was definitely a risky thing to do since Nero was out of it, but take the chance while it is given. Again, the fifty-fifty chance had hit right on the mark, this one was powerful, but it was probably going to hit everything in a good radius of it.

Sparky was hit by the wave of energy and her mind was immediately scrambled and she began to stagger from the turmoil in her mind. "Oh crap," said Z, "um, Sparky, try to use Sky Uppercut again." Sparky shook her head and tried to aim her attack through the haze in her mind. Sparky managed to run in a semi-straight line and prepare a new attack in her fist as she swung it shakily at Nero as she tried to attack. Z hoped that she would be able to land her attacks even though she was really going to be muddled for a while.
"Good job Nero." Nicole muttered to herself. Nero was still disorientated himself, still trying to shake away the fuzzy feeling in his head, so he was swaying and staggering from side to side. "Hey Nero, can you try another Flamethrower?" This request was made, with no response being given. Instead, Nero continued to try and clear his head, while seemingly try to look up towards where the Blaziken was. Nicole could not find this amusing at all. Instead, she found this very NOT amusing. "Nero, Flamethrower?" She tried again, hoping it would work if repeated due to it being a fifty-fifty chance. Still nothing was done. Well... This match had suddenly become one of status ailments.

Sparky managed to slam her punch into Nero's face, sending the other pokemon flying back from the force of the blow that was dealt to him. "Great job!" said Z, "Now use Sky Uppercut again." This time, sparky wasn't as clear headed and slammed her fist into her own face, sending her flying back and into the ground. "Just great," sighed Z, "This is why I hate it when my pokemon get confused to this extent."
“Nero! Retaliate this time! Hyper Beam!” Nicole called watching as Nero righted himself, his head finally seeming to be clear. The problem with that fact right now? He was still infatuated. This left Nicole only with the hope that, since he didn’t respond to a called out attack twice, there would be a chance he would attack this round, and with the fact that the Blaziken had punched itself in the face, there was hope that an attack would hit. For a few moments, Nero just stood there… This made Nicole’s heart drop, and a small part of her hope that the Blaziken hurt itself again. Then, the next thing she knew, she was covering her eyes as the bright beam of Hyper Beam shot from Nero’s mouth at a high speed towards the Blaziken.
(Just so you know that things are fair with whether the attack will happen or not, I’ve been flipping a coin, head is: attack, tails is: to infatuated to do anything)

(I understand. I've been doing that with a computer program.) "Sparky Dodge!" yelled Z. Sparky shook her head and managed to jump and roll out of the way of the attack, "Now use Sky uppercut again," said Z. Sparky tried to charge another attack but she stumbled again and her attack slammed into her again. "Dang it," said Z as Sparky staggered to her feet again after the attack had slammed into her. He knew that she couldn't take much more of this.
Nicole crossed her fingers as she decided to try once more with an attack. Nero seemed slightly out of it because of the Hyper Beam, but there was still a chance he could make an attack. Of course, there was also the infatuation.... Shaking her head, Nicole left things it up to fate and called out: "Nero, please, use Flamethrower."
Again, there was nothing... until there was something. Nero, though he seemed slightly pained by it, opened his mouth and out came a full powered Flamethrower. Nicole's eyes widened in surprise as she had expected to have nothing happen like many times before. She couldn't help but let out a small, quiet, happy gasp. This moment almost seemed like a coin toss that had landed on her called side. She wasn't about to go and complain about it.

Sparky managed to shake off the confusion and responded with a flamethrower attack of her own, meeting the blast of fire that was shot at her with one of equal power. the two streams of fire battled for dominance as they struggled against each other and the room began to get hotter and hotter as the heat from the flames began to effect the surrounding area as they grew in strength. Z was thankful that the trainer stands had heat shields.
