Since I have recently been granted the ability to host my own OOC contests and my birthday is coming up, I would like to celebrate with everyone here. For this contest I want to know what Pokemon all of you think is the true celebration Pokemon in order for you to win your very own Smoochum. Each of you may enter twice, though there will only be one adorable little Smoochum given away.

How do you win? Provide a reasonable explanation for why the Pokemon you chose is a celebration Pokemon with at least one bit of reference from the Pokemon universe (the games, anime, and manga all apply) to back up your reasoning. Preferably I would like to see a screen shot of your reference, but a link would do too. The more references you can find to back up your reasoning the better in this case! (Examples of references can be pokedex entries, pictures of your Pokemon dancing or at a party, anything like that you can find.)

You have until I get back from vacation on July 31st to enter and results will be posted that morning, so please post before 6 am that morning. Good luck everyone.

Ludicolo. Not even a question. His species is the carefree pokemon, every single sprite of him shows him dancing except for 3; 2 of those being his back. archives.bulbagarden.net/wiki/Category:Ludicolo

ALL of his pokedex entries speak of festive music; many that it affects him on a molecular level, making him stronger or moving his muscles to the music. How much more celebratory could you get? bulbapedia.bulbagarden.net/wiki/Ludicolo

He also is a mix of a stereotypical mexican, with a sombrero and poncho, a duck or platypus and a pineapple. That's not celebratory; that's just funny and kinda cool.

Ludicolo, he's the carefree platypus pineapple that always is the one brave enough to dance by himself at parties. Doesn't get any more celebratory than that.

Bellossom- Everyone can remember the Pokemon short that had the song "Bellossom Dance". This Pokemon can not only get a large group of Pokemon to perform, but they look like hula dancers. Let's not forget all of the Pokedex entries where it says they are known for their dancing. They are a Pokemon that truly enjoys a good time and are willing to perform for those who want to watch them dance. In short they know how to have a party.

Funnily enough, I would have to say Jynx (the exact Pokemon Smoochum evolves into).

Jynx is known as the human shape Pokemon, and even seems to be able to pass off having an almost exact human language. bulbapedia.bulbagarden.net/wiki/Jynx_%28Pok%C3%A9mon%29

That, however, is not the reason I say that Jynx is the most celebratory Pokemon. The reason I chose Jynx is because of almost all of its Pokedex entries. All of them say that when people see a Jynx, they feel like moving their hips along with them because they become so captivated. pokemondb.net/pokedex/jynx

Drum roll please everyone! It is now time to announce the winner of this contest and who will receive the Smoochum! Everyone had great sources for their conclusions and you three brought out great explanations for your choices. It was a very hard decision to make since Ludicolor, Bellossom, and Jynx are all extremely similar in description, but I will have to award the Smoochum to... Mariko!
