Opening of the Clinic

Zeal hopped up from Prasha's lap and pranced into the back room and jumped onto an empty bed and stretched out watching Mariko and the sneasel. Zeal licked her lips and settled down. Prasha got up and took the food to the storage unit and chuckled to himself at the remark about her invite to lunch. The kid is trying way to hard. Prasha stuck the cigarette behind his ear and leaned against the wall looking at Mariko treat the creature. Rocky came in and sat on the same bed as Zeal. Her tail licked happy to see Rocky. The Persian yawned and a low growl came from her throat.

Prasha continued to watch Mariko fascinated by her every move. She had seriously done a terrific job with the clinic. Prasha was very impressed. Prasha smiled and said to Mariko. "I will at my shop late tonight if you have time stop by for a cup of tea or something." Prasha smiled and then looked at the kid. "Keep trying, buddy." A smirk formed on Prasha's face.

"Come on Zeal. Rocky lets go buddy." Prasha walked to the entrance followed by Zeal prancing with her head high and Rocky cracking his knuckles. "Oh, Mariko we need to talk abut the shipping information." Prasha lit the cigarette and stepped outside. "I will see you later."   

Mariko frowned slightly at the others choice of nickname for her, and a small amount because her plan seemed to not have worked as well as she would have liked.  "Please refrain from calling me bird."  She couldn't help but request hoping the other would drop the name.  "And I am no jewel.  I am a human being.  Flawed and imperfect just like the rest of humanity.  Flattery will only get you so far before it oversteps a boundary."  She responded to the jewel comment, crossing her arms in front of her, her frown turning into a small smirk as though she was challenging him to continue his flattery streak.  Internally she was fighting the flusteredness she was feeling down into a dark crevice trying to keep it from reaching the surface like it had when he had first asked her to lunch right after checking Kaname in.

"If you really wish to woo me, you are going to have to try your hardest.  I may have said yes to dinner now, but who knows if it will happen again."  Somehow that sentence came out more teasing than she had meant to make it....

Please don't tell me that I may be taking this farther than I had intended...  Shouldn't I be more concerned that I have a clinic to run?  Mariko found herself thinking, a little bit shocked at the revelation.

Mariko was covering her mouth, either to stop herself from laughing, or because of shock she wasn't sure.  She had turned in just enough time to see the Sneasel retaliate against Tsubame, a sight she was not used to seeing all that often.  "Should I worry that the two of you are fighting?"  She questioned, when Tsubame had turned around a look of question on her face, along with a stance that spoke of her curiosity.  She also was fighting back a comment about how the others face looked like he was trying to imitate a tomato.  "Where exactly did he hit you?  I would like to make sure that no severe damage was done.  Though I am sorry I cannot help a broken ego, if that is what you are suffering from at the moment."  The quip was light and Mariko was mainly just using it to get herself back into some semblance of normality, that didn't include her feeling flustered.

Mariko was frozen in place, face red, after the others actions...  Until he told her where he had gotten hurt, that's when she huffed and sent one hand up to cover her face in an irritated manner.  Just as she was about to tell the other to move out of her personal space and keep his innuendos to himself, he was already backing away, laughing, which, actually made the blush return to her cheeks.  And, at the last comment the other made, she sighed.  "Well, it is kind of hard to do something that is already confirmed when the other party is messing around and acting immature."  She quipped, once more trying to calm the blush that was covering her face.  "And I told you, flattery won't get you a second lunch or dinner.  You need only ask once?  We shall see.  Anyways, I'm going to let Orchid know that I'm going to lunch, since what he has asked me to check will probably take a little longer, and let him know that he can stay in here.  Then I'm going to be at the front.  When you are done playing around, meet me there."  She said before giving a smirk of victory, and walking out of the room to do what she said she would.

Mariko walked into the front room right after the call had been made.  "I seem to be popular..."   She muttered to herself before looking around, only for her eyes to stop on Zandrophin's person.  "Well, if it isn't the head of the CTC.  To what do I owe this visit?"  She asked crossing her arms in front of her and standing up a little straighter, waiting for the response.  "I can assume that it is not because your Pokemon are injured.  No, I would think this is probably you looking into my clinic for some reason.  Is this about the shipment I ask for before?  Because I am sure that I paid you back for that."  She didn't mean to sound rude, but she wasn't sure why else the other would actually come to her clinic for anything.

Mariko raised an eyebrow at the others words.  "Should I be taking it as a compliment that you want to establish a business proposition?"  She questioned with a small head tilt.  "And if I have personal matters, I think they should stay as such.  I don't need your wishing of luck, though it is appreciated."  She finished her thought.  She then gave a cough and walked to the front desk, going behind it to grab a small notebook that she wrote her important information on.  "I am busy at the moment, but I do think an arrangement would be a good thing.  However, I will not have you questioning my business methods again.  Threaten me once, fine, I can brush it off.  Do so again, and I would think that I have the right to fight you for the ability to prove otherwise.  Be it a battle of words and wills or otherwise."  She said as she looked over the notebook.  "I am free tomorrow, if that would be fine with you?  My plans for today have somewhat been shifted."

Mariko seemed to be busy with yet another person in the clinic. Maybe hunting the doctor isn’t the best idea. I forget how busy they always are. He shook his head. Kaname was up and ready to leave, but there was one bandage she didn’t remove. There was a thick bandage wrapped around his small body under his arm.

”Feeling alright? Are you up for some lunch?”

His tone was gentle, but mellow and soft. Kaname responded affirmatively, and he decided it best to head out of the clinic and leave the busy woman to her work. However, he hoped she wasn’t too busy so she wouldn’t stand him up. But even if she did, she had fixed up Kaname and he would get it for free, but then again, it was hard for him to cross a pretty woman.

He walked out the doorway and into the lobby with Kaname walking a little slower, but still effortlessly keeping up with the blue-haired man.

”Meet me in the market square if you’re still up for that date. We’ll be waiting. Sorry for any trouble.” he ruffled Kaname’s feather and the duo walked out the clinic.
