Post: This is the reply button, or to post first on a board begins a thread.
Thread: This is the roleplay! A thread is the story, as in one thread of the whole sweater makes this site one giant story told from many POVs (point of view).
Pm?: Shorthand for "private message" which means either going to a person's profile or your messages tab in the navigation bar.

Spoiler: These are what hide mass quantities of text, large pictures, etc. unless clicked on. The coding for it is, To code spoilers for your posts, read below.
[pokemon]
This is where the object(s) you are hiding is typed in.
[/pokemon]
Now replace the word "pokemon" with "spoiler" and you can now code spoilers To code links in your post and signatures, this is how you code it.
[pokemon= (insert the url of the site/page you want to use for the link) ] (Now inset the word(s) you want to be the link) [/pokemon]
Now replace "pokemon" with url, and replace the inside of the parenthesis with the page/site url and link's word(s) respectively.
So to play on the site, you first need a character/trainer. To do this, fill out the First trainer Application. Once you’ve done that, submit it where it says “Place Apps Here” on the homepage under the character board.
It is good to create a character with at least some direction. A goal, a highly developed personality, a connection with another member, etc. These are not required but having at least one can get you started on your journey.
Personalities of course aren’t as important in the beginning as characters can be site grown.
Connections with other members is another excellent way to start. All of the current members are friendly and willing to cooperate or offer your new character a position or help.
If you read the tips in the spoiler, you may have seen the word “goal” pop up. These are the best tools for a character to develop. Everyone starts out as a simple trainer or contest coordinator, and although trainers can participate in contests and coordinators can challenge gyms, it’s just a start. You can later unlock SPECIALIZATIONS for your character.
Don't want to take the time in creating a new character completely from scratch? Check the Adoptables page to see if there might be some interesting characters. Sometimes these characters come with pre-made plots, relations, or even possibly the status of royalty! And sometimes, they can come with banned or hard to get pokemon, so be sure to check them out!
So now you’ve got a character. What are you going to do with it?
Collecting pokemon on Asemon
Well, it’s a pokemon rpg site, so even though it is not required to have a pokemon, you of course may Apply for Your Starter. The pokemon application is found in the apps section, same as where you found the trainer applications. When applying, you will see a section that says “Method of Obtaining,” and an option of “Site Gift/rules”
Asemon gives everyone a site gift to use. In the Site Rules section, you will see a blurb about them.
Profile Tabs In your profile you can edit your avatar, relationship settings, signature, anything! If you need help contact Akane or Nicole.
Prize Wheel In your profile, one of the tabs labeled “Prize Wheel” can even win you some poke. Run over to the bank to deposit it!
Settings Themes can be changed by going to your settings tab. Your notifications settings can be altered here, this is important because you can set your notifications to send you an email when any number of things happen such as someone replying to your post (important if you’re a gym leader) or when a new member joins (if you’re on for the social).
Bottom Left The transparent arrow lets you shoot back up to the top of the page without scrolling.
The white bar with a black arrow has several important links in it. The little black “P” is the poke symbol and a link to the bank. It is recommended you keep this bar open!
The middle button is for receiving money donations (prize money, fellow member generosity). To donate, you have to go to the other user’s profile.
The third button is the link to the Pokemart, where you can buy things for your trainer and pokemon.
Sometimes a gift button is available and that is how you receive prizes.
Bottom Right This is if you have multiple characters on a shared email or frequently use proboards. You can switch accounts and forums easily without having to sign in every time.
