"Don't worry," sighed Z, "she kind of deserved that. I warned her to be careful and she didn't listen. Now let's get back to the battle. Meet Tempest, a new friend of mine."
Z walked up to Tempest and gave him a stroke between the ridges on his head, getting a smile from the large amphibious pokemon.
"As this is Bullet, a relatively new friend of mine," Eira informed him with a smile towards the Grass type that was jumping around the field to show that he was ready for action. "I believe we are ready to go. Would you like to start things off Bullet?"
Bullet gave a call before he went rigid, his claws beginning to glow softly with the power he was storing in them. Within a blink of an eye, Bullet managed to charge up power and head for Tempest with an amazing amount of speed for such a Pokemon, his aim directed at Tempest and ending this battle in as few of blows as possible.
As Bullet shot at Tempest, the water type charged up a sphere of energy in its mouth and waited until his opponent was at point blank range before firing the blast of icy energy at the smaller pokemon. Z smiled, knowing that the first move made can decide a battle sometimes.
With the call from Z, Eira grew worried about what was to come. Ice type attacks were not too much of a concern for Bullet due to his Fighting type, but at such a close range, the attack would do a great amount of damage to anyone and Bullet didn't seem to notice that the attack was coming for him. When he noticed the attack coming, Bullet tried to stop, but ended up sliding into Tempest due to having such a great speed. He raised his claw to shield himself from the attack, forgetting that he had just charged a mach punch in that same claw.
The attacks collided, creating a small explosion that blew both pokemon back a few steps. Tempest roared, shaking off a few ice crystals that had clung to his skin and looked for his opponent to see what had happened to him. Z smiled, impressed at the power the little pokemon had. Tempest had a powerful Ice Beam, as evidenced by the frozen patches on the ground from the explosion.
