"Sparky, Protect!" yelled Z, causing Sparky to block the punch with a glowing green barrier that materialized between them, "Now take him down!"

Sparky rushed forward and slammed her forearm into Rocky's neck, taking advantage of her opponent's sluggish movements to land her attack, sending the pokemon slamming into the ground.  Sparky then raised her leg and brought it down, intending to slam a axe kick into her opponent's prone body that would cause a broken bone at the least.  Z smiled as Sparky took advantage of the martial arts training she had taken.

Sparky got into a stance and shot a blast of fire to not only occupy the quick guard, but also to shield her from sight as she ran forward and tried to slam a brick break powered upward palm strike into Rocky's chin, an attack that would force a human to collapse due to the brain stem being compressed, causing temporary loss of control over motor functions.  She wasn't altogether sure how it would affect a Sawk, but it would definitely hurt for a few days if it connected.

Z watched the battle, taking mental notes.  Rocky seemed to be slowly succumbing to the earlier Attract, but he was still lucid enough to pose a serious threat to Sparky if she wasn't careful.  Kenichi watched the battle, taking his own notes as he watched his mother figure and her opponent fight in a battle of skilled marital artists and fighting types.

Sparky made a fist and prepared to hit Rocky with a brick break attack that she hoped would end this brawl.  She shot at Rocky with her fist cocked back and swung at her fellow fighting type with enough strength to shatter stone.  She often used this technique when helping clear away boulders in the mines at Starfort, so the attack was quite potent and very powerful.  Z knew Prasha was planning something and kept an eye on him and his pokemon so he would see any tells that would indicate a trick.

Sparky was thrown back from the force of the Counter and it did a considerable amount of damage to her.  She was breathing hard and managed to straighten up when she felt a fire burn inside her.  With a roar, her body was engulfed in a fiery aura and she stood strong as her Blaze ability kicked in.

"Alright," said Z, "round 2.  Flamethrower, Full Power!"

Sparky responded by blasting a humongous gout of fire from her mouth at Rocky.

"Sparky," said Z as he thought up a final strategy, "counter punch with Brick Break, one more time!"
Sparky roared and charged energy into her fist and punched forward, using her longer reach to slam her fist into Rocky's body before he could land his punch on her.  she saw that he was getting slower and weaker while her Blaze ability was powering up her fire-type attacks, giving her a boost she could use to her advantage in this fight.

Z watched this battle, and made a mental note to teach sparky more fire type moves to capitalize on her Blaze ability in battle, but that could wait until after this battle to be over.

Sparky was breathing hard from the punch that hit her in the face.  She was sure her beak was a bit cracked from that punch, but she continued to fight as hard as she could.

"Sparky," yelled Z, "brick break, then full power Flamethrower.  Torch him!"

Sparky rushed forward with her fist cocked back, no pun intended, and delivered a powerful punch aimed at Sawk's gut before using her Blaze ability to fire a white hot gout of fire from her mouth that would do some serious damage to the fighting type.  In fact, if either attack hit, it could end the battle.
