Family: One older sister named Ai back in Ecruteak City. Parents are deceased. Has an older brother named Haru who lives in Goldenrod and works the Gym.
Looks: She has long brunet hair, which she keeps in a bun, and blue eyes. Usually she wears a Kimono when she is in her house; however, when she is outside of her house she wears a light blue blouse like shirt and black pants with comfortable shoes. She keeps her Pokeballs on a bracelet that her sister gave her before she left. She has a messenger-like bag which is where she keeps all of her items that she needs at any given time.
Personality: She speaks in a rather relaxed manner, and carries herself with confidence. She has the tendency to cross her arms and tap her index finger on her side when she is annoyed, or when she feels a situation is getting boring. She also has the tendency to answer questions with questions when she feels that someone is getting to personal.
Likes and Dislikes: Likes: Dancing, Flying Pokemon, Singing
Dislikes: The dark, People asking too many questions, Sleeping in
Almost inhuman ability: She has a special touch when it comes to medicine and knows, just by looking at a wound, what type to use.
History: Mariko grew up in the Kimono Dance Theater, with her sister, since she was five after her parents passed and her brother moved to Goldenrod to help earn some money for them. There she learned how to dance and picked up her skill with medicine. Since she was not one of the Kimono Dancers chosen to raise an Eevee, she easily was able to follow through with looking for a Pokemon of her own to raise. When she was sixteen she left the theater, with her sister’s permission, and decided to go searching for the Pokemon that called to her. As she traveled she found an injured Pidgey and nursed it back to health, the Pidgey ended up staying with her afterwards. When she turned twenty she returned to Ecruteak City only to hear about a newly discovered continent. At twenty-one she convinced her sister to let her travel once more. Before she left, her sister handed her a bracelet and told her to wear it as a memory of home. She took the bracelet with a smile, and left on her journey to go to the newly discovered continent for her adventure. Her current goal is to possibly set up a clinic in the city, though she desires to try her hand at contests.
